ATS systems haven't changed as much as you think — but the formatting rules that beat them are sharper than ever. Here's the exact layout to use in 2026.
Layout
- Single column.
- No headers or footers. Put your contact info in the body.
- No tables.
- No text boxes.
- No images for text.
Section order
- Contact header
- Summary (3-5 lines)
- Experience (reverse chronological)
- Education
- Skills (grouped)
- Optional: Projects, Certifications, Awards, Languages
Section headings — name them right
